The Hapkido Federation of India"HFI" has been a member of the World Federation since 2013.
The activities of the HFI have recently undergone positive and commendable changes, these growing changes are due to the efforts and management of Mr.Premjit Sen, the "new president".

Master Premjit Sen has been elected President of the Hapkido Federation of India since 2020. During his short tenure, he has been able to take positive and successful steps towards the development of Hapkido in India, including:
- Forming a strong organizational chart with the presence of high-ranking officials and prominent masters of Indian martial arts
- Holding an international educational webinar
- Organizing refereeing and coaching orientation classes
- Introducing Hapkido Martial Arts to Indian Sports Officials
- Launching Hapkido and establishing branches in many Indian provinces
